The white-parka'd men stride in.

Top Drawer Collection

Sponsored by the Friends of the Homer Public Library, Inc.

The Friends of the Homer Public Library, Inc. has established a collection of works by Kenai Peninsula writers called the Top Drawer Collection in the Homer Public Library. This program is part of the Friends' annual National Library Week celebration and the collection is expanded each April during this week. See this story at the LitSite Alaska website for information about Joy and Norman Griffin, who started the Top Drawer tradition many years ago.

Top Drawer Collection works are sent to a commercial bindery and the cost of the binding is furnished by the Friends. The books are cataloged by the library and made available for circulation to library users. The collection is also presented to the public with reviews on Reading Between the Lines, the library's Sunday radio show on KBBI Public Radio.

All copyright remains the property of the original author. The bound copies become the property of the Homer Public Library and will fall under the same guidelines and procedures that apply to other items in the library's collection.

If you have any questions about the program please call the library at 907-235-3180.
